A family of Montana ranchers clash with others who are encroaching on their land. Forrie J. Smith, who plays Lloyd, is an expert in the world of rodeo. John Dutton (Kevin Costner) often seems to “forget” his Montana accent and revert to his Southern California voice. The show is well acted, the first two episodes are well written, and each episode leaves you wanting more. Not to mention, the landscapes in Montana and Utah are beautiful. The Duttons remind me of the Ewings from the 70s drama “Dallas.” In short, Yellowstone is “Dallas” meets “The Soprano.”
